We are representing a confidential engineering consultancy seeking a Lead Engineer for Vertical Transportation in Munich. This role offers the opportunity to lead complex lift and elevator planning projects across Europe and the Middle East, working with multidisciplinary teams on high-impact built environment solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning activities for vertical transportation systems across all project phases (HOAI, RIBA, AIA frameworks)
- Serve as discipline project leader for conveyance technology, managing technical deliverables and quality assurance
- Apply planning tools including Elevate, AutoCAD, and Lift Designer to design standardized and bespoke systems
- Develop technical specifications for non-standard installations and special conveyance solutions
- Coordinate technical interfaces with other disciplines, architects, developers, and manufacturers
- Conduct project communication and documentation in German and English
- Create and refine internal standards and tools to optimize planning workflows
- Perform quality reviews of team deliverables and mentor technical staff
- Support business development activities including proposal preparation, resource planning, and client acquisition
What We're Looking For
- Completed technical degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent qualification (Techniker certification accepted)
- Several years of professional experience in the elevator industry or conveyance systems planning, with leadership experience preferred
- Proficient user skills with Elevate, AutoCAD, and Lift Designer software
- Strong knowledge of planning phases, elevator regulations, and local building codes in Europe and the Middle East
- Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
- Willingness to travel and strong motivation for international project work
