Product Engineer / Software Builder (m/w/d)

We are representing a confidential e-health organization that is transforming digital patient care across Germany. Our talent team is seeking an experienced Product Engineer / Software Builder to join their development team in Regensburg. This is a unique opportunity to work on healthcare technology that impacts millions of users while enjoying a modern, AI-enhanced development workflow.

In this role, you'll take full ownership of features from conception through production, working in an environment where rapid implementation and visible impact are the norm. This position offers a hybrid work model with 2 days per week remote and is based in Regensburg, Germany.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of features, guiding them from initial concept through architecture design to production deployment
• Leverage modern AI development tools (such as Cursor, Copilot, CodeRabbit) to rapidly generate prototypes and production-ready code
• Challenge technical concepts and architectural decisions to ensure optimal user experience
• Collaborate closely with product management and customer-facing teams to understand user needs and make pragmatic product decisions
• Participate in system architecture discussions with a focus on scalability, data flows, and performance optimization
• Communicate technical concepts clearly in German and advocate for your technical decisions

What We're Looking For

• Strong system and architecture understanding with proven full-stack web development experience
• Proficiency in at least one backend ecosystem (PHP, Python, or Node.js) with the ability to understand concepts across technologies
• Deep understanding of data flows, scalability principles, and performance considerations
• AI-native development approach with daily experience prompting and validating AI-generated code
• Strong product sense with preference for pragmatism over perfection and a drive to ship features quickly
• Excellent communication skills in German, with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly
• Ability to defend technical decisions with well-reasoned arguments
