Product Engineer – Frontend (all genders)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential construction technology company seeking a Product Engineer with frontend focus for their Berlin office. In this role, you will:

• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to design and implement new features in a truly cross-functional process
• Build and maintain user-facing components using TypeScript and Vue 3, with flexibility to work on backend services and APIs as needed
• Contribute to the overall system architecture and technical decision-making
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers while learning from senior engineers
• Implement best practices for software development, infrastructure, and deployment processes

The technical environment includes TypeScript, Vue 3, Tailwind CSS, NestJS, PostgreSQL, and AWS infrastructure. This is a hybrid position requiring 2+ days per week in the Berlin office.

What We're Looking For

• 2-5 years of professional software engineering experience with strong frontend skills
• Solid engineering fundamentals with the ability to write clean, efficient code
• Primary focus on frontend development but flexible to switch between frontend and backend tasks (ratio could range from 50/50 to 80/20 frontend depending on needs)
• Long-term interest in developing into a full-stack engineer
• Understanding of technical trade-offs and ability to contribute to discussions about scalability, performance, and maintainability
• Product-minded approach with genuine care for end-user experience
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment while taking ownership of tasks
• Proactive and pragmatic problem-solving skills
• Currently based in Berlin or willing to relocate to Berlin
