Principal Product Manager, Matching & Monetisation

About the Opportunity

We are representing a confidential client in the online marketplace sector, seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead their core matching and monetization platform. This is a rare opportunity to own a product end-to-end that directly drives commercial success while serving both sides of a thriving two-sided marketplace.

In this role, you'll define the vision and execution for how customers are matched with service providers, how the platform monetizes those connections, and how self-serve marketplace features scale. You'll work at the intersection of product craft and business impact, setting strategy and shipping meaningful improvements that grow revenue while maintaining marketplace health.

Responsibilities

• Own the matching and monetization product strategy end-to-end, balancing growth, user value, and long-term marketplace sustainability
• Drive commercial growth through smart product decisions and trade-offs across pricing, packaging, and marketplace dynamics
• Enhance matching algorithms and logic in collaboration with Data Science teams to ensure optimal connections
• Develop and implement dynamic pricing strategies to unlock new value and improve economics
• Scale self-serve marketplace features into a major revenue and engagement driver
• Establish and maintain quality standards for a world-class marketplace experience
• Build alignment and trust across Product, Data Science, Engineering, and commercial teams through consistent delivery
• Use data and experimentation to inform decisions and validate product direction

What We're Looking For

• Extensive experience in senior product roles with ownership of revenue-generating or marketplace products at scale
• Deep marketplace expertise including liquidity management, supply and demand dynamics, matching systems, and distribution
• Strong commercial and pricing fluency, particularly with dynamic pricing models, packaging strategies, and subscription or transactional economics
• Analytical mindset with a data-driven approach to decision-making and a habit of running experiments
• Proven track record of shipping high-quality products quickly while removing blockers and driving delivery
• Vision and ambition to identify where a marketplace should evolve, with the ability to bring stakeholders along on the journey
• Strong communication skills and ability to build trust across cross-functional teams
• Curiosity and readiness to tackle complex problems in a fast-moving environment
