Developer Success Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a well-funded technology platform serving developers worldwide. Our client is a leader in real-time communications infrastructure, and we're seeking a Developer Success Engineer to join their UK-based remote team.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering and customer advocacy. You'll be the technical champion for developers building on our client's platform, combining hands-on problem-solving with excellent communication skills. Responsibilities

• Support developers, teams, and commercial customers using the platform, both through direct engagement and community channels
• Triage and resolve technical issues by reading codebases, filing bugs, writing sample code, and updating documentation
• Create production-quality code examples and technical guides that improve developer experience
• Collaborate with community contributors on technical issues and implementation challenges
• Conduct regular check-ins with customers to ensure their continued success and identify improvement opportunities
• Partner with Sales, Business Development, and Partnerships teams on technical strategy and customer conversations
• Bridge the gap between customer needs and product development by providing actionable feedback

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Proven engineering background with demonstrated ability to build, ship, and debug production software
• Comfort working across unfamiliar codebases to diagnose and resolve customer issues
• Excellent written and spoken English, with ability to adapt technical communication for varied audiences
• Natural teaching ability and genuine enjoyment in helping others learn and succeed
• Customer-focused mindset—you understand the difference between closing a ticket and solving the underlying problem
• Quick learner who thrives in ambiguous situations and enjoys learning new programming languages
• Deep care for developer experience and the success of those building on technical platforms

Nice to Have:

• Previous experience in a developer relations, developer success, or similar customer-facing engineering role
• Experience working with and supporting developer communities
• Open source contributions
• Multilingual capabilities (the platform serves a global user base)
