US Physical Therapy is hiring a full-time Physical Therapy Aide Floater to join our team in Riverhead, NY, providing essential support across our clinic locations while delivering compassionate patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Position Summary

As a Physical Therapy Aide Floater with US Physical Therapy, you'll work across multiple clinic locations in the Riverhead area, bringing flexibility and reliability to our patient care operations. In this full-time role, you'll assist licensed physical therapists and occupational therapists, helping patients progress through their rehabilitation while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming treatment environment. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in varied settings and enjoys supporting patient recovery through hands-on assistance.

What You'll Do

• Prepare treatment spaces, equipment, and supplies according to clinical protocols
• Assist patients with exercises, transfers, and positioning under therapist supervision
• Support the application of therapeutic modalities including heat, ice, and electrical stimulation
• Maintain detailed patient records and communicate observations to clinical staff
• Help patients navigate the clinic, answer routine questions, and ensure a comfortable experience
• Clean and sanitize treatment areas and equipment between patients
• Adapt quickly to different clinic workflows and patient populations across locations

Who We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Physical Therapy Aide certification, or willingness to obtain within the first year
• Strong interpersonal skills and genuine compassion for patient care
• Ability to lift and support patients safely; physical stamina for a fast-paced environment
• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work across multiple Riverhead-area locations
• Attention to detail in documentation and equipment maintenance
• Team-oriented mindset with openness to feedback and continuing education
