Role Overview

As a Patient Account Representative at US Physical Therapy, you'll manage essential administrative and financial functions within our Houston physical therapy practice. From patient registration and insurance verification through billing inquiries, you'll be the trusted professional ensuring every account is handled accurately and every patient receives exceptional service at each touchpoint.

Key Responsibilities

• Process patient registration, intake paperwork, and insurance information at the point of service
• Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits using our practice management system
• Collect copayments, deductibles, and outstanding account balances from patients
• Answer patient phone inquiries, schedule appointments, and manage reception duties professionally
• Maintain accurate and organized patient accounts and records in compliance with healthcare privacy regulations
• Generate patient statements, invoices, and billing correspondence
• Resolve patient billing questions and account discrepancies with accuracy and courtesy
• Support front desk operations and check-in processes throughout the day

What We're Looking For

• Administrative or clerical experience, preferably in a healthcare or medical office setting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional, patient-focused approach
• Proficiency with computer systems, point-of-sale platforms, and electronic health record software
• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
• Accuracy and attention to detail in data entry, billing, and record-keeping
