Northwestern Memorial Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician specializing in Procurement Operations to join our team in Grayslake, Illinois. This is a full-time position with variable shifts, where you'll play a critical role in managing our pharmaceutical supply chain and ensuring medications are available when our patients need them most.

About the Role

As a Pharmacy Tech - Procurement Operations professional, you'll be instrumental in coordinating the flow of medications and supplies across our Grayslake facility. Working in this specialized role, you'll manage vendor relationships, process orders, track inventory, and resolve supply challenges to support seamless patient care. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills directly impact our ability to deliver quality healthcare services.

Core Duties

• Process pharmaceutical orders and coordinate with vendors to fulfill inventory requirements
• Monitor medication stock levels and initiate replenishment orders to prevent shortages
• Receive, verify, and inspect incoming pharmaceutical shipments
• Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and inventory adjustments
• Communicate with pharmacy staff to address urgent supply needs and expedite critical orders
• Support variable-shift coverage across locations as needed to maintain operational continuity

What You Bring

• Current Pharmacy Technician Certification or eligibility to obtain certification
• Prior experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or procurement setting
• Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail
• Capacity to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic healthcare environment
• Reliable communication skills and flexibility with variable shift schedules
