Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Claim Adjuster, Rideshare

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential insurtech organization in their search for a Personal Injury Protection (PIP) Claim Adjuster specializing in rideshare claims. This is a remote position open to candidates across the United States (excluding California, Alaska, Hawaii, and U.S. territories).

Our client is building a technology-driven claims operation that prioritizes efficiency, customer experience, and adjuster empowerment. You'll manage your own inventory of PIP/MP claims while working in a collaborative, remote-first environment that values innovation and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and evaluate PIP/MP claims to determine coverage, injury extent, and assess medical billing
• Provide exceptional customer service by handling calls, filing claims, and resolving claimant requests
• Gather documentation, interview involved parties, explain coverage terms, and resolve medical expenses
• Assess claim validity and determine appropriate settlement amounts or litigation paths
• Manage claim inventory and establish/adjust Get A Job.aies throughout the claim lifecycle
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, policy provisions, and standard operating procedures
• Communicate regularly with claimants, policyholders, attorneys, and medical providers
• Prepare thorough claim reports documenting investigation findings and decision rationale
• Oversee outside service providers and collaborate with counsel to resolve complex claims
• Contribute to continuous improvement of claims guidelines and processes

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of experience handling Personal Injury Protection claims (experience valued over degree requirements)
• Required: Experience handling New Jersey PIP claims
• Required: Experience in at least one additional state: Michigan, Florida, New York, Texas, or Kentucky
• Active adjuster license in your home state (or designated home state if your state doesn't offer licensing); willingness to obtain all required licenses within 60 days of hire
• Strong knowledge of state regulations and policy provisions
• Understanding of subrogation referrals and coordination of benefits between PIP and UM/UIM
• Arbitration and/or formal PIP/MP litigation experience
• Preferred: Commercial, rideshare, or trucking policy experience
• Excellent communication skills with empathy and patience
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
• Comfort with conflict resolution and creative claim solutions
• Sense of urgency balanced with sustainable work practices
• Willingness to travel occasionally for client and claims needs
