Pediatrician Contractor

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital health organization seeking pediatricians to join their clinical team on a contractor basis in Portugal. Our client is reimagining how families access pediatric care through technology-enabled platforms, and this is a genuine clinical role where you'll provide medical assessment, guidance, and treatment to Portuguese-speaking families.

This position involves rotating shift coverage including evenings and weekends as part of comprehensive care delivery. You'll work directly with parents and children through digital channels, bringing your clinical expertise to resolve cases, provide follow-up care, prescribe when appropriate, and ensure families receive timely medical support.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical support and medical guidance to parents of pediatric patients through digital platforms
• Review clinical presentations and resolve cases requiring medical input, performing appropriate follow-ups including prescriptions or other medical guidance
• Deliver clear, reassuring written communication through digital chat interfaces
• Participate in rotating shift coverage including evenings and weekends to support 24/7 care availability
• Share member feedback with product and clinical teams to support continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

• Medical degree (Mestrado Integrado em Medicina) with current standing as a final-year pediatric resident (interno de pediatria) or fully qualified pediatrician
• Active medical license (cédula profissional) with the Ordem dos Médicos, valid to prescribe independently
• Clinical experience in pediatrics, ideally including early childhood populations
• Strong written communication skills with the ability to convey warmth and reassurance through digital channels
• Availability for rotating shift coverage including evenings and weekends
• Fluent in Portuguese (written and spoken) as all patient interactions are conducted in Portuguese
• Demonstrated use of AI tools in daily clinical or professional work (minimum Level 1: uses AI to boost personal productivity)
• Must possess a valid EU visa and be based in Portugal; relocation assistance is not available
