Medium/High Voltage Lineman

Dexterra is hiring a Medium/High Voltage Lineman for our operations team in Beltsville, Maryland. This is a full-time position supporting critical electrical infrastructure and serving the energy needs of the region.

About the Role

As a Medium/High Voltage Lineman at Dexterra, you'll be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical transmission and distribution lines that power homes and businesses. You'll work with sophisticated equipment and systems, applying technical expertise to ensure safe, reliable electrical service in your community. This role combines skilled trades work with problem-solving in a dynamic outdoor environment.

Core Duties

• Install and repair medium and high voltage electrical lines and cables
• Climb poles and towers to perform inspections, maintenance, and installations at heights
• Use specialized tools and equipment to test and troubleshoot electrical systems
• Conduct preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on electrical infrastructure
• Coordinate with team members and follow detailed safety protocols on every job
• Document work completed and maintain accurate service records

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Physical ability to work at heights and in all weather conditions
• Demonstrated ability to climb, lift, and perform strenuous physical activity
• Strong commitment to safety and OSHA compliance
• Lineman apprenticeship, formal training program, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced conditions
