Electrician

Dexterra is hiring a full-time Electrician for our Beltsville, MD team. This is an on-site position with CMI Management supporting our commercial and facilities maintenance operations.

Position Summary

As an Electrician at Dexterra in Beltsville, Maryland, you'll be a skilled tradesperson responsible for maintaining, installing, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. Working in our facilities and maintenance division, you'll ensure buildings and systems operate safely and efficiently, while adhering to all applicable electrical codes and safety standards.

Your Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, panels, and equipment in commercial and residential facilities
• Troubleshoot electrical problems using testing equipment and diagnostic tools
• Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical regulations
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical systems to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with other trades and facility management teams to coordinate projects
• Document work completed and maintain accurate records
• Prioritize safety for yourself and others on site at all times

Who We're Looking For

• Valid electrician's license (journeyman or master level required for the Beltsville, MD area)
• Proven experience working in commercial or facilities maintenance environments
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices
• Proficiency with electrical tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
