The Opportunity

We're seeking a detail-oriented Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at our Beltsville, Maryland location. In this full-time role, you'll be the backbone of our facility's reliability—diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all systems operate at peak efficiency. This is a hands-on position perfect for someone who takes pride in keeping equipment in top condition and values the impact their work has on daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical equipment and systems throughout the greenhouse facility
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on machinery, HVAC systems, and facility infrastructure
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and implement timely solutions to minimize downtime
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and document all repairs and service work
• Respond to urgent maintenance requests and provide emergency repairs as needed
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate maintenance schedules and facility improvements
• Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with all facility and environmental standards

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic, equipment technician, or similar hands-on maintenance role
• Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals
• Proficiency with common tools and mechanical diagnostic equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to safety
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred
