About This Opportunity
We are representing a global medical imaging technology company seeking a Medical Equipment and Device Service Technician/Engineer to join their Berlin office. Our client manufactures diagnostic X-ray equipment serving healthcare facilities worldwide through an established distribution network across Europe and beyond.
This is a hands-on technical role supporting both medical and dental imaging systems. You'll work directly with distributors and end-users across more than 20 European countries, ensuring equipment operates safely and reliably for patient diagnostics.
Location: Berlin, Germany
Employment Type: Permanent, full-time
Start Date: As soon as possible (negotiable)
Travel: Regular international travel required
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and problem resolution for medical imaging equipment to European distributors and customers
- Perform installation, maintenance, repairs, and technical inspections of medical systems including C-arms, mammography units, and dental imaging devices (OPG, CBCT, portable units)
- Deliver hands-on training to customers and distribution partners on equipment operation and handling
- Conduct service-related business travel within Europe and internationally for installations, repairs, and technical inspections
- Manage spare parts inventory, ensuring availability for service operations and customer needs
- Handle logistics operations including goods receipt, storage, equipment preparation, and coordination with transport providers
- Prepare sales and shipping documentation such as Proforma Invoices and Commercial Invoices
- Inspect, configure, and adapt equipment according to customer specifications prior to shipment
- Support setup and breakdown of equipment at exhibitions and trade fairs
What We're Looking For
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Biomedical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering, or comparable qualification with relevant practical experience
- Professional experience in medical device servicing is preferred but not required; recent graduates with strong technical aptitude are encouraged to apply
- Customer service or technical support experience with medical equipment is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly
- Well-organized, structured, and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving
- Language: Fluent English required; German and/or Korean language skills considered an advantage
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally on a regular basis with no travel restrictions
- Work Authorization: Valid work permit for Germany required
