Hedging Specialist für kritische Rohstoffe (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential client in the resource management sector, seeking a Hedging Specialist for critical commodities. In this role, you will:

• Design, build, and continuously develop robust hedging strategies for critical raw materials
• Serve as a subject matter expert in developing and implementing AI-driven models to optimize and automate hedging operations
• Monitor ongoing exposures, conduct scenario analyses, and assess market risks across global commodity markets
• Collaborate closely with procurement and finance teams to identify and maintain strategic relationships with hedging partners including banks and brokers
• Prepare management decision materials and integrate hedging results into financial controlling processes

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in Economics, Finance, Financial Mathematics, or a comparable field
• Several years of proven experience in hedging, financial risk management, or commodity trading
• Direct trading experience with derivatives, futures, or options and understanding of financial and commodity market mechanisms
• Strong understanding of data structures and interest in working at the intersection of finance and IT/data science
• Proficiency with MS Office and Google Workspace
• Fluent German and English language skills
• Strong analytical capabilities, strategic vision, and hands-on mentality when building new structures
