Material Stocker-SHW 1st shift

Fortune Brands is seeking a dedicated Material Stocker for our first shift team at our New Bern, North Carolina facility. As a full-time Material Stocker, you'll play a vital role in keeping our production operations running smoothly by managing inventory, organizing materials, and ensuring the right supplies reach production teams exactly when they're needed.

Position Summary

We're looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Material Stocker to join our production team on the first shift. In this role, you'll be responsible for receiving, organizing, and distributing materials throughout our manufacturing facility. Your work directly supports our production teams, and your accuracy and efficiency are essential to maintaining our operations. This is a full-time position based at our New Bern location.

Your Responsibilities

• Receive and verify incoming materials and components against packing slips and purchase orders
• Organize materials and inventory using our storage systems to maximize space and accessibility
• Maintain accurate records of material locations, quantities, and stock levels
• Distribute materials and supplies to production areas according to work orders and production schedules
• Conduct regular inventory counts and identify discrepancies
• Keep storage areas clean, organized, and safe in compliance with facility standards
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment

What We're Looking For

• Ability to work reliably on the first shift schedule
• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
• Ability to read and understand work orders, specifications, and packing documentation
• Physical capability to lift, carry, and move materials regularly
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
• Dependable work ethic and commitment to safety
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
