The Opportunity

As a Material Handler with Xcelenergy, you'll be responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials and equipment essential to our service center's daily operations. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced warehouse and distribution environment. You'll help ensure that inventory flows smoothly and that all materials are properly handled and tracked, supporting our team's ability to serve customers reliably across the Minneapolis and surrounding areas.

Your Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and organize incoming materials and shipments according to warehouse standards
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently
• Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery or internal distribution
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock counts and cycle audits
• Keep the warehouse area clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations
• Follow all safety procedures and report hazards or equipment issues promptly

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds regularly
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
