This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive safety management systems for our pipeline operations. You'll combine engineering expertise with regulatory knowledge to develop solutions that prevent incidents, protect public safety, and ensure Xcelenergy meets the highest operational standards. Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance pipeline safety management systems and protocols
• Perform safety assessments, hazard analyses, and risk evaluations across pipeline assets
• Create safety documentation, procedures, and training materials for operational teams
• Collaborate with engineers, operations, and compliance teams to implement safety improvements
• Monitor system effectiveness and recommend enhancements aligned with industry best practices
• Support regulatory compliance efforts, inspections, and safety audits
• Contribute to continuous improvement of safety culture and performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, safety engineering, environmental science, or related technical discipline
• Knowledge of pipeline safety principles, standards, and regulations
• Experience with safety management systems, process safety, or risk assessment
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving abilities
• Clear communication skills for presenting technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
• Familiarity with OSHA, PHMSA, or similar energy sector regulatory frameworks
