Position Summary
As a Gas Service Technician Apprentice at Xcelenergy, you'll learn the skills needed to install, maintain, and repair natural gas delivery systems that serve homes and businesses throughout La Crosse and the surrounding region. Working under the guidance of experienced technicians, you'll develop expertise in gas line safety, equipment operation, and customer service while earning as you learn.
Responsibilities
- Assist senior technicians with installation and maintenance of residential and commercial gas service lines
- Learn proper procedures for gas leak detection and safety inspections
- Help troubleshoot and repair gas appliances and heating systems
- Complete required classroom training and apprenticeship certifications
- Respond to customer requests and service calls in the La Crosse area
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used
- Follow all safety protocols and industry regulations
