Your Responsibilities

• Assist licensed operators in monitoring and controlling nuclear plant systems and instrumentation
• Perform routine inspections, maintenance checks, and equipment care under direct supervision
• Learn and apply nuclear regulatory requirements and plant-specific safety protocols
• Document plant operations, maintenance activities, and observations accurately
• Support plant operations during startup, normal operation, and safe shutdown procedures
• Complete required training courses and regulatory certification programs
• Report equipment issues and operational concerns to senior operators immediately

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Eligibility to obtain Department of Energy security clearance
• Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
• Ability to work full-time schedules including rotating or shift work
• Solid mechanical aptitude and willingness to master complex technical systems
• Reliable attendance and strong communication skills
