Project Manager II – Renewables

Role Overview

You'll oversee medium to complex renewable energy projects, coordinating cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver results on time and within budget. This role sits at a pivotal point in Xcelenergy's renewable expansion, where your leadership directly influences project outcomes and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor renewable energy projects from inception through completion, managing scope, schedule, and budget
• Lead and mentor project teams, including contractors, engineers, and technical specialists across multiple disciplines
• Identify and mitigate project risks, adapting strategies to keep initiatives on track despite evolving constraints
• Coordinate with regulatory, environmental, and stakeholder groups to ensure compliance and project approvals
• Report project status and performance metrics to senior leadership and key stakeholders
• Drive continuous improvement in project processes and methodologies

Who We're Looking For

• Project management experience in renewable energy, utilities, or related infrastructure sectors
• Proven track record managing projects with multi-million-dollar budgets and complex timelines
• Strong leadership and communication skills with ability to influence across organizational levels
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid approaches)
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, project management, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Knowledge of energy regulations, environmental standards, and permitting processes is valuable
