About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cloud data platform organization seeking a Manager, Field Engineering to lead their pre-sales technical team in France. This is a high-impact leadership role where you'll guide Solutions Architects and Solutions Engineers, partnering closely with Sales to deliver value-based solutions and drive growth across strategic accounts.

You'll mentor your team to communicate complex technical concepts clearly, support enterprise sales cycles, and build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders throughout large organizations. This position is based in Paris and operates in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing pre-sales technical team based in France
• Foster an inclusive and collaborative team culture focused on customer success and business impact
• Partner with Sales leadership to drive revenue growth through solution- and value-based selling approaches
• Establish best practices that enhance team efficiency and focus on measurable business outcomes
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with executive-level customers and strategic partners
• Collaborate across Marketing, Sales, and Services teams to ensure seamless solution implementation and customer success
• Serve as part of the regional leadership team, contributing to market presence and brand building

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing technical teams in Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS environments
• Track record of leading, mentoring, and scaling pre-sales or technical field organizations
• Understanding of consumption-based business models and cloud economics
• Strong ability to collaborate effectively with Sales and cross-functional leadership teams
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—fluent in English and native-level French required
• Technical background in Data Engineering, Databases, or Data Science; consulting experience is a plus
• Passion for data, AI, and cloud technologies with the ability to articulate business value clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Must be located within commutable distance to Paris
