About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential AI hardware organization at the forefront of next-generation computing technology. Our talent team is seeking an experienced AI Compiler Engineer to lead compiler development efforts for advanced inference accelerators. This is a remote opportunity based in the US or Canada, offering the chance to work on cutting-edge graph compiler optimization for AI and ML workloads.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will architect, design, and implement optimizations for AI model execution on graph compilers to improve performance, reduce latency, and maximize hardware utilization. Your work will directly impact how efficiently AI models run on specialized hardware.
- Collaborate closely with ML researchers, hardware engineers, and software developers to design and deploy AI models while addressing hardware-specific challenges
- Drive performance optimizations for neural network models, including layer fusion, operator fusion, and graph-level transformations
- Develop compiler optimizations and passes that convert high-level AI models from frameworks like TensorFlow and PyTorch into intermediate representations
- Implement parsing, semantic analysis, and IR generation for deep learning frameworks
- Research and integrate the latest advancements in compiler design, ML model optimizations, and hardware acceleration
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to engineering teams focused on graph compiler optimizations
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Ph.D. preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in compiler development with strong focus on AI or ML graph compilers
- Proficiency in AI graph compiler frameworks such as MLIR or Torch-FX
- Solid background in hardware architectures including GPUs, TPUs, or ASICs, and optimization techniques like fusion, quantization, and tiling
- Familiarity with neural network operators and code generation
- Strong understanding of intermediate representations, code parsing, and semantic analysis in compiler design
- Proficiency in C++, Python, or other programming languages commonly used in compiler development
- Open-source contributions to AI software frameworks and libraries is a plus
- Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring engineering teams with successful project delivery
