Backend Engineer – Mid Level – Autopilot Team

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization seeking a Backend Engineer to join their automation and workflow team. In this role, you will:

• Develop and improve RESTful web services, including integrating LLMs into backend systems, with some involvement in web-based clients
• Work within a cross-functional Scrum team to produce high-quality, well-tested code
• Participate actively in code reviews and architectural discussions, continuously learning from and sharing knowledge with your peers
• Use AI coding tools to accelerate development while maintaining ownership of design decisions and ensuring all changes are reviewable and explainable
• Take ownership of features you build, code quality, and the team environment
• Work iteratively with frequent code pushes, maintaining strong CI/CD pipelines and automating processes where possible

What We're Looking For

Our client is seeking a mid-level backend engineer with:

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Backend engineering experience with Go, Java/Kotlin, and relational databases like Postgres or NoSQL databases like MongoDB
• Ideally, hands-on experience with Docker, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Prometheus, or Grafana
• Good understanding of REST and microservices architecture
• Sound understanding of testing practices and a commitment to producing quality, correct code
• Preferably, experience working in an agile environment
• Passion for clean code and continuous learning
• Good English communication skills
• Self-starter mindset with strong collaborative abilities
