QA Automation Developer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential technology consulting organization in their search for a QA Automation Developer to join their team on a fully remote basis across the United States. This is a direct-hire W2 opportunity with significant career growth potential in a well-established firm.

Location: 100% Remote (United States)
Position Type: Full-time, Direct W2
Experience Required: 5+ years in QA Automation or SDET roles
Visa Status: U.S. Citizens, Green Card Holders, EAD Holders, and H-1B transfer candidates welcome. New H-1B sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for web, API, mobile, and microservices applications using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, RestAssured, or similar tools
• Automate UI, API, and end-to-end testing for web and distributed applications
• Build and maintain CI/CD test pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
• Perform performance testing with JMeter, Gatling, k6, or Locust
• Collaborate with development teams to identify quality risks and improve overall test coverage
• Troubleshoot defects, create comprehensive regression tests, and mentor junior QA engineers

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in QA Automation or SDET roles
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#
• Proven experience with Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright
• Hands-on experience with REST API automation, SQL, and CI/CD pipeline implementation
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and microservices architecture
• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with contract testing tools like Pact
• Performance testing experience with JMeter, Gatling, k6, or Locust
• Familiarity with security testing tools such as OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, or Snyk
• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification
