About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential AI hardware organization based in Bristol. Our client is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Manager - NPI to plan the materials that keep engineering builds moving from concept to prototype.
In this role, you will turn project roadmaps into practical material plans, supporting lab equipment, engineering components, prototype parts and consumables. Your work will help Engineering, R&D and Operations avoid delays during critical build phases by spotting shortages, supply risks and inventory issues before they affect schedules.
You will collaborate with Procurement to secure materials and track supplier commitments, using data, scenarios and planning insight to support NPI and prototype development. This role suits someone who brings structure to ambiguity and keeps complex hardware programmes moving.
Responsibilities
- Plan materials for engineering builds, prototype development and lab operations in Bristol
- Turn technical project roadmaps into actionable supply chain plans
- Identify and mitigate supply risks, shortages and inventory issues before they impact schedules
- Work closely with Procurement to secure materials and track supplier commitments
- Support Engineering, R&D and Operations teams with material readiness planning
- Use data analysis and scenario planning to support NPI programmes
- Provide clear reporting on material status and supply chain risks
- Take ownership of supply risks and act quickly when plans change
What We're Looking For
- Over five years of supply chain experience, preferably within the high-tech industry
- Proven experience supporting Engineering, R&D, lab operations, prototype builds or NPI programmes
- Hardware product-related sourcing experience is strictly required
- Solid understanding of supply chain planning, demand forecasting and inventory management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
- Proficiency in Excel, including VBA, data modelling, automation and ERP systems
- Ability to bring structure to ambiguous situations and translate technical schedules into supply chain action
- Legal right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available for this role)
