Epic Project Manager

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential healthcare organization seeking an Epic Project Manager to lead Epic-related projects and initiatives supporting their electronic health record system and integrated third-party vendors.

In this role, you will:

• Manage and coordinate Epic implementation, optimization, and build projects from inception through completion
• Work with project team members and subject matter experts to define scope, goals, resource requirements, timelines, and deliverables
• Monitor and report project progress to stakeholders, identifying risks and proposing solutions or escalating to leadership as appropriate
• Create and maintain key project documentation including risk registers, change logs, schedules, and meeting notes
• Collaborate with Epic Application Analyst Teams, Training Teams, Business Intelligence Teams, and Project Management Offices across the organization
• Coordinate ongoing Epic workgroups responsible for change requests, optimizations, new feature review and prioritization during upgrades, and issue mitigation
• Engage with operational and clinical leaders to prepare for adoption of Epic enhancements and process improvements
• Serve as liaison between Epic team members, project management offices, and clinical/operational stakeholders
• Adhere to and optimize standardized project management approaches including scope control, budget monitoring, and risk mitigation

What We're Looking For

• Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
• Experience: 3+ years of Epic and/or IT project management experience with a bachelor's degree, OR 1+ year of Epic and/or IT project management experience with a master's degree
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining strong organization and attention to detail
• Experience working with electronic health record systems and third-party vendor integrations
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively with clinical, operational, and technical teams
• Strategic thinking capabilities with ability to identify and mitigate project risks proactively
• Excellent communication skills for reporting to stakeholders and coordinating across functional areas
