About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential academic research institution in the Paris region for a 12-month postdoctoral position focused on cybersecurity and privacy protection. This role centers on digital identity solutions within the context of a European research initiative addressing data spaces and access control frameworks.

Our talent team is seeking a recent PhD graduate to design and develop innovative digital identity wallet solutions that balance security, interoperability, and privacy preservation. You'll work on authentication, authorization, and rights delegation systems that integrate with existing data space architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design a digital identity wallet solution covering authentication, authorization, and access rights delegation that integrates seamlessly with data space environments
• Reference existing standards and services to ensure interoperability across multiple data spaces
• Develop both business and citizen wallet prototypes with particular attention to privacy preservation for citizen-facing applications
• Build functional prototypes for testing in operational environments
• Coordinate meetings and interactions with European project partners
• Produce meeting reports and project progress documentation
• Disseminate results through publications in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, as well as videos, posters, and training materials

What We're Looking For

Essential qualifications:

• PhD or doctorate completed within the last 3 years
• Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity and digital identity
• Proven programming skills and software development experience
• Fluent spoken and written English for international project collaboration

Preferred experience:

• Background with blockchain technologies and Hyperledger frameworks
• Project management methodology and rigor
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Collaborative team orientation
• Strict adherence to confidentiality obligations regarding data handling

Location and Contract Details

This is a 12-month fixed-term contract (CDD) based in Evry-Courcouronnes, Île-de-France. The position offers 44 days of leave annually, telework flexibility, on-site dining facilities, and excellent public transport access with employer contribution.
