Join Cornerstone Building Brands as a Machine Operator I on our first shift team in Jackson, Tennessee. We're looking for a detail-oriented, safety-conscious operator to run and maintain manufacturing equipment that produces quality building products.
Role Overview
In this entry-level manufacturing position, you'll operate production machinery to manufacture building components according to specifications and quality standards. Your role is essential to our Jackson facility's operations—you'll monitor processes, respond to equipment needs, and ensure every item meets our quality requirements. This is a full-time, first-shift position.
Core Duties
- Operate production machinery according to work orders and technical specifications
- Monitor equipment performance and alert supervisors to malfunctions or unusual conditions
- Inspect finished products for defects and sort items to meet quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and make minor adjustments to keep machinery operating smoothly
- Record production data, material usage, and equipment downtime as required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn equipment operation quickly
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift materials as needed
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Willingness to follow safety procedures and work instructions
- Basic math skills for measuring and recording production data
- Previous manufacturing or equipment operation experience preferred but not required
