Role Overview

As a Direct Support Professional at Dungarvin, you'll provide essential care, assistance, and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral health needs, or other support requirements. This role centers on helping people achieve greater independence, dignity, and quality of life through consistent, reliable day-to-day assistance and companionship.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation
• Support individuals in community outings, recreational activities, and social engagement
• Monitor health and wellness, documenting observations and reporting changes to clinical supervisors
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to foster confidence and independence
• Maintain a safe, clean living environment and assist with household tasks
• Follow individual care plans and support goals established with the care team
• Build trusting relationships based on respect and understanding of each person's unique needs
