Position Summary

As a Logistics Officer, you will oversee critical supply chain and warehouse operations that keep WFP's humanitarian response moving. Based in Bria, you'll coordinate shipments, manage inventory systems, and work with local and international partners to ensure food and assistance reach beneficiaries efficiently and securely. This role demands both strategic thinking and hands-on problem-solving in a dynamic, resource-constrained environment.

Core Duties

• Plan, execute, and monitor logistics operations including procurement, transportation, and storage of humanitarian supplies
• Manage warehouse inventories, maintain records, and ensure stock accuracy through regular audits and system updates
• Coordinate with transport providers and vendors to optimize delivery schedules and reduce costs
• Track shipments from origin to final distribution points and resolve delays or disruptions
• Prepare logistics reports, forecasts, and performance metrics for senior management
• Support emergency response logistics when operational needs escalate

Who We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
• At least 3–5 years of hands-on experience in logistics, procurement, or warehouse management
• Fluency in English; proficiency in French is highly valued
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proven ability to work effectively in challenging, multi-stakeholder environments
• Proficiency with inventory management systems and logistics software
• Willingness to work on-site in Bria with occasional travel within the region
