Locum Physician (MD/DO) – Critical Care in Fall River, MA

About the Position

You'll work three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) in an acute care intensive care unit. The role typically involves managing 3 to 10 patient admissions per night, allowing for comprehensive care delivery and meaningful continuity with patients. This locum assignment is available to start as soon as possible and provides the predictability and flexibility many physicians seek in their clinical schedules.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and clinical decision-making for critically ill and injured patients in the ICU
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, perform procedures, and manage acute medical and surgical complications
• Coordinate with nursing staff, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary care teams on treatment plans
• Maintain thorough medical documentation and clinical records
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based critical care practices
• Support hospital protocols and the on-call coverage structure

What We're Looking For

• MD or DO with current, unrestricted medical license in Massachusetts
• Board certification or board eligibility in Critical Care Medicine
• Experience in intensive care, emergency medicine, or acute care settings
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage complex, rapidly evolving patient situations
• Professional communication and collaborative approach to interdisciplinary care
