About the Role
This full-time anesthesiology position centers on delivering perioperative care across a broad surgical spectrum. You'll work Monday through Friday, 7 am to 5 pm, with scheduled call rotation responsibilities. The practice emphasizes both elective surgical anesthesia and acute trauma response, giving you meaningful exposure across the full scope of anesthesiology.
What You'll Do
- Manage anesthesia for a diverse patient population (90% adult, 10% pediatric) across general and trauma cases (70% general surgery, 30% trauma)
- Provide anesthesia leadership in a Level I trauma center setting, supporting the institution's full scope general surgery program
- Collaborate with CRNAs and surgical teams available 24/7 in-house to ensure seamless perioperative coordination
- Participate in clinical decision-making within an academic medical center structure
- Contribute to evidence-based anesthetic practice in trauma and general surgical care
What We're Looking For
- Board-certified or board-eligible anesthesiologist with current US medical licensure
- Strong clinical skills in general anesthesia, regional techniques, and airway management
- Experience or comfort with trauma anesthesia and high-acuity perioperative care
- Collaborative approach to patient care and interprofessional teamwork
- Ability to thrive in a structured, academically focused environment
