Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a neurologist for a full-time locums position at a facility in Happy Valley, Clackamas County, Oregon. This is an excellent opportunity to provide direct inpatient neurological care with comprehensive support and scheduling flexibility.
About the Role
You'll deliver comprehensive neurological care in a fully inpatient-based clinical setting. The position offers twelve-hour daily shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, available seven days per week. You'll manage four overnight call shifts per week and can work up to twenty-one shifts per month based on your availability and preferences. The facility provides full malpractice insurance coverage and pre-arranged travel and housing accommodations to support your assignment.
What You'll Do
- Provide comprehensive inpatient neurological assessment and ongoing patient management
- Manage acute stroke cases and administer thrombolytic therapy (tPA) when clinically indicated
- Evaluate and treat general neurological conditions in hospitalized patients
- Participate in overnight on-call shifts to ensure continuity of neurological services
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary clinical teams to optimize patient outcomes
What We're Looking For
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with active neurology board certification or equivalent credentials
- Clinical experience in general neurology with demonstrated expertise in stroke management
- Proficiency in tPA administration and acute stroke treatment protocols
- Valid Oregon medical license or ability to obtain licensure
- Professional commitment to high-quality inpatient neurological practice
