Vista Trans Holding is hiring OTR CDL-A flatbed and stepdeck drivers for full-time, long-haul routes based out of Cornell, Chippewa County. As an independent contractor (1099), you'll operate premium freight equipment across the nation and earn competitive compensation based on mileage or percentage of gross revenue.

What You'll Do
- Operate flatbed and stepdeck trailers on long-distance over-the-road routes
- Secure, tarp, and properly manage freight loads according to DOT standards
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues
- Maintain accurate logbooks and comply with federal hours-of-service regulations
- Coordinate with dispatch for load assignments and delivery schedules
- Perform equipment troubleshooting and field maintenance as needed
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Proven experience operating flatbed or stepdeck equipment
- Clean driving record and current DOT medical certificate
- Solid mechanical aptitude and ability to maintain equipment safely
- Reliability, professional communication, and ability to work independently
- Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
Compensation
As a 1099 independent contractor with Vista Trans Holding, you'll earn $0.85 per mile or 30% of gross freight revenue. Experienced drivers typically gross $8,500 to $13,000 weekly, depending on routes and freight assignments.
