A Family Practice Physician Is Needed for Locums Coverage in North Carolina

Weatherby Healthcare is recruiting a Family Practice Physician for a full-time locums assignment in North Carolina. This is an opportunity to practice in a busy outpatient setting with a flexible, built-in ramp schedule and comprehensive professional support.

About the Role

This locums position begins at 3 clinical days per week and scales to 4–5 days weekly as you acclimate to the patient population and setting. Standard hours run 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a patient load of 22–24 visits daily. You will manage a diverse age range in a full-service outpatient clinic environment and maintain hospital admitting privileges as required by the facility.

What You'll Do

• Deliver comprehensive primary care to patients across the full age spectrum
• Conduct patient visits and manage clinical workflows in an outpatient clinic setting
• Maintain hospital privileges and coordinate inpatient care as needed
• Collaborate with the clinic team to support continuity and patient satisfaction
• Document patient encounters and maintain medical records according to facility standards

What We're Looking For

• Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in North Carolina
• Board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine
• Demonstrated experience providing primary care to diverse patient populations
• Valid DEA registration and malpractice coverage eligibility
• Professional communication skills and ability to integrate into an established clinic team
