About the Role
This locums position provides anesthesia services for a varied surgical schedule Monday through Friday, with no on‑call responsibilities. The assignment focuses on common outpatient and inpatient procedures while excluding high‑acuity cardiac, neurovascular, and vascular cases.
What You'll Do
- Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care for OB/GYN, orthopedic, general surgery, urology, and podiatry procedures.
- Conduct preoperative assessments, develop anesthetic plans, and monitor patients intraoperatively.
- Provide postoperative care and ensure timely recovery room handoff.
- Maintain accurate anesthesia records and adhere to facility protocols and safety standards.
- Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiology team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Handle the occasional pediatric case, applying PALS guidelines when needed.
What We're Looking For
- Current CRNA licensure in Vermont or eligibility for multi‑state licensure.
- Active PALS, ACLS, and BLS certifications.
- Proven experience delivering anesthesia for the case types listed above.
- Comfort working in a setting where hospital privileging is not required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments.
- Availability for a Monday‑through‑Friday, 7 a.m.–3 p.m. schedule with no on‑call duties.
