Legal Counsel – m/f/d

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential enterprise AI platform provider in Berlin. Our client serves over 10,000 organizations across Europe, including highly regulated enterprises in financial services, healthcare, and critical infrastructure. They require a Legal Counsel to own enterprise contracting, data protection, AI regulation compliance, and employment matters in a fast-growing, product-focused environment.

This is an in-office role in Berlin, Greifswalder Strasse. Our client maintains a collaborative workspace where legal issues are solved rapidly alongside product, security, and commercial teams.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and close enterprise customer agreements end-to-end, including data processing addenda, security terms, AI-specific provisions, and sector-specific requirements (DORA, NIS2, sector regulations)
• Translate emerging AI and data regulations (AI Act, Data Act, NIS2, DORA) into actionable product and contractual requirements
• Draft and negotiate agreements for cloud infrastructure, data center services, and hardware partnerships
• Provide German employment law advice and manage corporate governance housekeeping
• Own the data protection program and support ISO 27001 and SOC 2 compliance maintenance
• Build and refine AI-powered legal workflows, agents, and self-service tools using the platform you support
• Serve as a bridge between legal requirements and technical implementation, working closely with product and engineering

What We're Looking For

• Qualified lawyer (German bar or equivalent) with at least two years in-house experience at a technology company or advising technology clients
• Proven experience negotiating SaaS agreements and data processing addenda with enterprise counterparties, particularly in regulated industries
• Fluency in both German and English (German required for employment law and local contract work; English for team collaboration and international agreements)
• Technical curiosity and understanding of how SaaS products are built (databases, APIs, integrations, basic system architecture)
• Demonstrated ability to build legal tools, workflows, templates, or automations that improved process efficiency
• Strong written and analytical skills with sound commercial judgment about risk prioritization
• Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a small, high-performing team environment

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: €80,000 – €120,000 per year, plus equity participation. Final compensation is determined by level, which is assessed based on the scope of work you will own rather than years of experience alone. The expected range will be clarified early in the interview process.
