KYC Intern (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential fintech organization seeking a KYC Intern for their Berlin office. In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting customer onboarding and compliance operations while working alongside experienced professionals from leading financial institutions.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with customer onboarding processes, progressing to independent execution under guidance
• Supporting customer due diligence activities by collecting and verifying information to ensure anti-money laundering (AML) compliance
• Reviewing and verifying documentation including identification records, contact information, and financial statements for accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Collaborating with internal teams and customers to communicate and resolve issues effectively
• Continuously reviewing and optimizing internal processes to enhance the customer experience

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks a full-time intern available for at least 6 months, starting as soon as possible. The position requires on-site presence five days per week during the initial four weeks, transitioning to a hybrid model (three days in-office, two days remote) thereafter.

Required qualifications:

• Interest or initial experience in customer-facing roles, with preference for candidates interested in regulated banking or fintech environments
• Fluency in both German and English (B2 level minimum)
• Strong attention to detail with precision in data analysis and documentation
• Clear and collaborative communication skills, able to convey complex topics to diverse audiences
• Effective prioritization abilities to manage stakeholder requests and meet deadlines
• Investigative mindset with research capabilities and critical thinking for risk assessment

Preferred: Additional language skills in Dutch, French, or Spanish
