Regional Distribution Leader (Account Manager)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential industrial manufacturing client in their search for a Regional Distribution Leader to manage key distribution partnerships across Maryland, Washington DC, Delaware, and Virginia. This remote-based role focuses on driving growth through electrical product distribution channels while building strategic relationships with partners and customers throughout the mid-Atlantic region.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow business through strategic distribution partners by identifying conversion opportunities and revenue growth initiatives
• Build and maintain strong relationships across distributor organizations and customer stakeholders
• Execute comprehensive distributor business plans including quarterly business reviews, inventory optimization, contract negotiations, and RFQ management
• Lead marketing programs, promotional campaigns, product training sessions, and merchandising efforts to increase market penetration
• Conduct regular distributor site visits to support sales objectives, product adoption, and operational performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams to achieve revenue targets and customer satisfaction goals
• Manage pricing strategies, profitability analysis, and business planning across multiple product lines and customer segments

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum two years of direct sales experience in private sector, public sector, government, or military environments
• Legal authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
• Willingness to travel up to 50% with occasional overnight stays

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience selling technical or industrial products within the greater Baltimore or mid-Atlantic markets
• Two or more years in sales, marketing, distribution management, or channel partner roles
• Proficiency with Salesforce.com, Microsoft Excel, and data-driven sales methodologies
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-management capabilities with ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels
• Demonstrated success managing multiple priorities, product portfolios, and distribution channels simultaneously
• Background in strategic account management, pricing strategy, and financial business planning
• Business acumen including experience with customer profitability analysis and understanding financial impact of commercial decisions

Pay

This position offers competitive compensation consisting of base salary plus variable incentive pay. Our client's total compensation range for this role is $113,752 - $139,031 annually, determined by relevant experience, skills, and location factors. The role also includes eligibility for comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, paid time off, and other programs.
