We are representing a confidential technology client seeking a Senior Python Data Scraping Engineer for a specialized freelance engagement in Serbia. This remote role focuses on building and maintaining sophisticated web scraping workflows that deliver clean, structured data for real-world applications. Responsibilities

• Own complete data extraction workflows across complex websites, ensuring accuracy, comprehensive coverage, and reliable delivery of structured datasets
• Build and optimize custom scraping solutions that handle dynamic content, JavaScript-rendered pages, and evolving site architectures
• Implement robust validation checks and quality controls to ensure data consistency, proper formatting, and adherence to specifications before delivery
• Scale scraping operations for large datasets using efficient batching and parallelization techniques while monitoring for failures and maintaining stability
• Adapt extraction approaches as needed to work with interactive web sources, anti-bot mechanisms, and changing site behaviors
• Leverage automation tools and frameworks to accelerate data collection, validation, and task execution within defined requirements

What We're Looking For

Required Experience:

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development
• Strong expertise in Python web scraping using BeautifulSoup, Selenium, or similar libraries
• Proven ability to extract data from dynamic content including JavaScript, AJAX, and infinite scroll implementations
• Experience working with complex data structures such as hierarchies, archived pages, and inconsistent HTML
• Solid background in data cleaning, normalization, and validation, with delivery of structured datasets in formats like CSV, JSON, or Google Sheets
• Demonstrated experience handling anti-bot mechanisms and dynamic site structures at scale
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS or equivalent) and containerization using Docker
• Practical experience with LLM frameworks such as LangChain or similar tools applied to automation tasks
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or above
