(Junior) Design Manager (all genders) – Luxury Retail

About This Role

We are representing a confidential luxury retail design agency seeking a Design Manager to join their team in Stuttgart. This role focuses on translating creative concepts into high-end retail campaigns and window displays for premium brands. You'll work at the intersection of design, production, and client management, bringing sophisticated visual merchandising concepts to life.

Responsibilities

• Translate creative briefs into sustainable retail campaigns within the luxury sector, coordinating closely with project management
• Execute technical implementation of window campaigns with high aesthetic standards, collaborating with prototyping, production, and client stakeholders
• Define production processes with internal teams, select materials, create technical drawings and production documentation while maintaining budget and timeline requirements
• Manage quality gates throughout production and installation phases, providing hands-on production guidance
• Develop and deliver compelling client presentations covering prototyping, visual merchandising, and pre-assembly stages
• Conduct site visits and oversee window installations, assessing technical feasibility on location and maintaining close client communication

What We're Looking For

• Degree in a technical or design-related field with minimum 1 year of 3D design experience, ideally with exposure to prototyping and production
• Experience working with creative briefs, particularly regarding technical specifications, compositions, colors, materials, surfaces, and feasibility assessments
• Proficiency in at least one 3D software and one visualization program, plus working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel)
• Strong communication skills in both English and German; willingness to travel for on-site installations
• Independent, responsible work style with keen attention to detail and high design standards
• Interest in innovation, sustainability, and craftsmanship within luxury retail environments
