About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential automotive supplier organization located in Achim, near Bremen. Our client is seeking an experienced IT System Administrator to take ownership of their infrastructure and production-related IT systems. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity at a modern manufacturing facility with a high degree of automation.

Responsibilities

• Support and develop the on-site IT infrastructure
• Administer, install, and maintain Windows and Linux systems
• Provide end-user support and client management
• Administer and configure network environments including switch management and network monitoring
• Manage database systems and data interfaces
• Install and support hardware and software deployed across the organization
• Ensure operational readiness of all IT systems
• Support production-related IT systems and automated equipment
• Contribute to data protection and IT security initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Completed vocational training in IT (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration, IT Systems Electronics) or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in IT system administration
• Strong knowledge of Windows system administration and support
• Experience administering Linux systems, ideally Ubuntu
• Proven experience in network administration and configuration
• Knowledge of SQL databases, ideally MySQL
• Ideally, initial experience with PHP, JavaScript, or scripting languages
• Knowledge of web administration and Mobile Device Management (MDM) is advantageous
• Experience with high-bay warehouse systems, PLC systems, or other automated production systems is a plus but not required
• Independent, structured, solution-oriented work style with strong service orientation
• German language proficiency required for this role
