HVAC Technician Apprentice

Position Summary

As an HVAC Technician Apprentice at JLL in San Jose, you'll gain hands-on experience in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems while supporting our team's commitment to maintaining optimal climate control across our clients' properties. This apprenticeship role combines practical, on-the-job training with close mentorship from certified technicians, preparing you for a rewarding career in the HVAC trade. You'll work full-time in the San Jose area, assisting with system maintenance, repairs, and installations across commercial and industrial facilities.

Your Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance and repair of HVAC systems, including heating units, cooling systems, and ventilation equipment
• Support the inspection and troubleshooting of mechanical systems in commercial and industrial facilities
• Help with the installation and replacement of HVAC components and systems
• Learn and follow safety protocols and industry best practices on every job site
• Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used
• Accompany certified technicians on service calls and provide hands-on support

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites in the San Jose region
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn HVAC systems and troubleshooting techniques
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work full-time and perform physical labor in various weather conditions
• Ability to pass a background check and any required safety certifications
• Prior HVAC experience or technical training is a plus
