Hebrew Sports Localization Specialist (Football)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential language services organization seeking a Hebrew Sports Localization Specialist with deep football expertise. In this remote role, you will:

• Review, localize, fact-check, translate, and adapt football-related content to resonate authentically with Hebrew-speaking audiences
• Perform quality control, translation, copy editing, and machine translation post-editing tasks
• Conduct market-specific research on local content, product terminology, and best localization practices for your target audience
• Provide constructive feedback on written content while adhering to established style guides and guidelines
• Ensure all deliverables meet high linguistic and cultural standards

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• BS/BA degree and/or 2+ years of professional experience in linguistics, sports journalism, copywriting, or copy-editing
• Extensive football knowledge and genuine passion for the sport
• Experience translating and localizing multimedia content, including machine translation and evaluation work
• Native-level fluency in Hebrew with excellent grammar and writing skills
• Strong creative writing, proofreading, and editing abilities in Hebrew
• High proficiency with computers, mobile devices, word processors, and spreadsheets
• Licensed version of MS Office applications
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment
• English (US) to Hebrew language pair expertise

Bonus qualifications:

• Published work on sports platforms or publications
• Experience with sports media platforms, live score applications, or sports streaming services
• Ability to adapt voice and style for Gen Z audiences and football fan culture
