Responsibilities
Our client, a leading enterprise AI and process intelligence platform provider, is seeking a Head of Industry - Retail & CPG to lead their vertical practice in Munich. In this senior leadership role, you will define and execute the strategic vision for retail and consumer packaged goods solutions, working across go-to-market, product, and engineering teams to scale transformational outcomes for global accounts.
You will be expected to:
- Define the vision and strategy for the Retail & CPG industry practice, translating this into prioritized actions for your cross-functional team
- Build and lead a team spanning Value Engineering, Sales, and AI solution development, establishing processes to accelerate industry impact
- Partner directly with enterprise customers to align software solutions with their strategic business objectives
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and GTM leadership to inform future platform development based on customer feedback and market needs
- Identify, develop, and package scalable use cases that drive innovation and expand the solution portfolio
- Enable internal teams and partner ecosystems to position and deploy industry-specific solutions effectively
- Serve as the internal and external face of the Retail & CPG practice, building a thriving community of clients and partners
What We're Looking For
This role requires an entrepreneurial leader who thrives in ambiguity and can move seamlessly between sales, product development, and customer engagement. We're seeking candidates with:
- Proven leadership experience building and managing cross-functional teams developing enterprise software solutions for strategic Retail & CPG challenges
- 0-to-1 entrepreneurship with demonstrated success launching new products or practices in fast-paced environments
- Excellence in executive communication, including public speaking and external presentation to C-level audiences
- Strong portfolio of enterprise software solutions that solved real-world business problems at scale
- Exceptional collaboration skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable insights for diverse stakeholders—from boardrooms to end users
- Bias toward action and a build-first approach to solving customer challenges
- Deep understanding of Retail & CPG industry processes, pain points, and digital transformation initiatives
This position is based in Munich and requires autonomous leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive results across a global organization.
