Lead/Principal Digital Transformation & Process Optimisation Consultant – Manufacturing/Production

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential enterprise software organization seeking a Lead/Principal Digital Transformation & Process Optimisation Consultant for their Munich office. This senior individual contributor role focuses on the manufacturing and production sector, acting as a trusted advisor to drive measurable business outcomes through data-driven process intelligence and transformation initiatives.

Native-level German proficiency is required. You must be able to lead customer workshops, conduct executive presentations, and manage stakeholder interactions in German.

The "Lead/Principal" designation refers to seniority level, which will be assessed during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

Identify & Frame Value

• Discover and translate customers' strategic priorities into high-impact use cases for process intelligence platforms
• Build compelling demos and business cases leveraging industry benchmarks and best practices to win new customers
• Undertake value assessments or proof-of-value projects and communicate opportunities and strategic roadmaps to C-level executives

Realize Value

• Facilitate business value workshops and use process mining technology to identify and qualify opportunities for process enhancement
• Derive improvement measures in core business functions and initiate improvement actions and enterprise-wide change initiatives
• Present results and realized value to senior management and C-level executives

Scale Value

• Own the end-to-end customer value journey: landing, expanding, adoption, and renewal
• Build strategic expansion roadmaps for customers embedding process intelligence as a strategic business transformation platform
• Provide feedback to product development teams to enhance platform capabilities and applications based on new use cases

What We're Looking For

Customer Value Experience: Background in an analytical role focused on demonstrating or securing value through business data analysis, business process improvement, and software deployment. Ideally in a customer-facing role in Solution Consulting, Sales Engineering, or IT/Management Consulting with a business software/SaaS provider or consultancy. Alternatively, in an in-house role (e.g., Center of Excellence for Data Mining/Analytics/Intelligence) within an enterprise.

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of business software/SaaS applications (e.g., SAP), experience implementing RPA and/or BI tools and/or building dashboards, apps, and action flows. Knowledge of Python and/or SQL. Experience collaborating with IT teams.

Process Improvement & Value Realization: Proven track record identifying use cases for business process improvement and deploying improvement measures. Experience as a change agent, training users and process owners to realize value.

Project Management: Experience planning and managing project scopes, expectations, and timelines across multiple concurrent projects at different stages of the value journey. Ability to leverage partner ecosystems effectively.

Executive Stakeholder Management: Experience preparing and communicating value roadmaps and results to stakeholders and management, both internally and externally. Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Business Domain Expertise: Understanding of Finance and/or Supply Chain domains, as well as strategic transformation initiatives (e.g., Shared Services Transformation or System Transformation).

Industry Expertise: Ideally expertise in one or more industries such as Manufacturing, Automotive, Consumer, Retail, Pharmaceuticals, or Chemicals. Ability to develop a deep understanding of industry trends and strategic opportunities.

Education: Degree in Technology & Management, Industrial/Business Engineering, Business Informatics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a comparable program.

Language: Native-level or near-native German language skills (written and spoken), with the ability to confidently engage German-speaking customers, facilitate workshops, and present to executive stakeholders. English proficiency also required.
