Head of Business Operations / Senior Business Operations Manager – all genders welcome!

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential sports retail client based in Munich. They're seeking a Head of Business Operations or Senior Business Operations Manager to join their growing international team of over 85 professionals. This role sits at the heart of revenue operations, translating targets into executable plans and ensuring seamless coordination across five independent teams in the revenue and marketing space.

Responsibilities

• Break down monthly and quarterly D2C revenue targets into weekly and daily plans with specific product and campaign references
• Develop target proposals for executive leadership approval
• Maintain the product and promotional calendar while managing processes and critical deadlines
• Ensure lead times across five teams (E-commerce & UX, CRM, Performance Marketing, Brand & Marketing, Tech) and proactively identify and resolve deviations
• Lead weekly trading reviews to track performance and adjust course
• Analyze operational problems and develop solutions collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Support expansion of planning to additional sales channels including specialty retail and marketplace platforms
• Make independent decisions on promotional calendars, discounts, and team prioritization within established guardrails

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of professional experience in business operations, consulting, chief of staff, commercial planning, or program management in complex organizational environments
• Fluency in both spoken and written German and English
• Strong commercial numerical understanding with the ability to interpret data and make sound judgments, not just report numbers
• Organizational talent to coordinate five teams, identify dependencies early, and maintain alignment before gaps become problems
• Critical mindset that challenges the status quo and actively shapes strategy rather than simply executing plans
• Structured thinking with the ability to anticipate needs and plan ahead
• Excellent communication skills to work with experienced team leads as equals while giving them space to apply their expertise
• Background in performance marketing, content, or e-commerce technology is helpful but not required
