Graphic Designer – Global Scientific Publications

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential pharmaceutical organization seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join their Global Scientific Publications team. This role focuses on transforming complex scientific content into clear, compelling visual communications that support medical education and publication goals.

The ideal candidate will partner closely with medical writers to create scientifically accurate PowerPoint presentations, posters, figures, and graphics that align with project objectives while maintaining brand consistency.

Responsibilities

• Create and format complex scientific PowerPoint presentations in accordance with brand and style guidelines, including custom icons, graphics, data tables, figures, and builds
• Develop infographics and graphical abstracts for scientific publications
• Design, layout, and format scientific posters using Adobe InDesign
• Create complex scientific icons and custom graphics using Adobe Creative Suite
• Design, create, and maintain presentation and poster templates
• Manage project timelines and deliver assets that meet established deadlines
• Prioritize and balance project workload to ensure team effectiveness
• Triage requests appropriately, flagging urgent items that may impact deliverables
• Anticipate project needs and proactively offer design solutions
• Attend department meetings and contribute insights to ensure consistency and process improvement

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in design or communications preferred
• 3-5 years of related graphic design experience; pharmaceutical or healthcare experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Strong knowledge of editorial design, information graphics, data visualization, and typography
• Design thinking skills with an understanding of appropriate design for scientific and medical audiences
• 3+ years working in a creative, team-oriented, deadline-driven environment
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with exceptional attention to detail
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented with strong multitasking capabilities
• Excellent collaboration skills and cultural sensitivity
• Strong written and oral communication abilities with good judgment and interpersonal skills
• Problem-solving mindset focused on improving business effectiveness
• Ability to interpret and articulate ideas clearly to colleagues
• Adaptable and reliable, able to process and respond to feedback quickly and effectively
