About the Role

As a Senior member of EY's Global Trade practice, you'll lead indirect tax initiatives that help multinational enterprises optimize their tax positions while maintaining rigorous compliance. You'll work with sophisticated clients facing intricate tariff classifications, customs duties, value-added tax, and trade incentive issues. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic business acumen, positioning you as a trusted advisor to executive teams navigating an increasingly complex global trade landscape.

What You'll Do

• Lead indirect tax and global trade consulting projects for multinational clients, managing scope, timelines, and deliverables
• Provide expert guidance on tariff classification, customs duty optimization, and trade compliance matters
• Utilize Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE software to analyze tax positions, model scenarios, and generate compliance documentation
• Develop indirect tax strategies that align with client business objectives and regulatory requirements
• Mentor junior team members and help build client relationships through thought leadership
• Stay current with evolving trade regulations, tariff codes, and indirect tax policy across key markets

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated expertise in global trade, customs, duties, or indirect tax matters
• Proficiency with Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE or comparable indirect tax software platforms
• Advanced knowledge of US and international trade regulations, tariff classification, and compliance requirements
• Proven ability to lead client engagements and deliver complex tax advisory projects
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to translate tax concepts for business audiences
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related discipline; relevant professional credentials (CPA, EA, or customs broker certification) preferred
